VALOUR-IT

I have been aware of, and a member of Soldiers Angels for quite some time now, along with AnySoldier and a number of other groups formed to show support for our troops overseas in meaningful ways.(I refuse to consider it "charity" these men earned our support damn it) However until I read this article I was unaware of their VALOUR-IT project.
VALOUR-IT (Voice-Activated Laptops for OUR Injured Troops) is a project which sends voice activated laptops to soldiers who have been injured in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere. Many of these men and women face months of hospital treatment, often in foriegn countries or far from their families, and VALOUR-IT ensures they are neither unseen nor unheard. As you can imagine its hard enough to be seriously wounded in a foreign country, but ebing unable to even communicate wiht your friends or loved ones makes it far far worse. As a group, the blogosphere is one that understands how important it is for people to be abel to reach out and touch others, for these men, due tot he trauma they have endured, its even more important. So click on the link, and at leat send a couple bucks so that the men and women who are buying your right to blog with thier own blood will be able to enjoy the freedoms they have been defending.
